It is not generally known that Freemasons locally, regionally and nationally contribute significant amounts to non-Masonic charities.

In 2006, the Grand Lodge of England donated £2.2 million to non-Masonic charities world-wide, nearly 48% of its total charitable donations for that year. In addition, the Provincial Grand Lodge for Staffordshire donated over £82,000 to non-Masonic charities, some 67% of its total charitable donations for that year.

Every 12 years or so the Provincial Grand Lodge of Staffordshire hosts

"A Festival" where each lodge is requested to raise funds so that a collective donation can be made for charitable purposes.

In 1990 "The Festival" raised £2,057,368.00.

In 2002 "The Festival" raised £2,529,479.00.

Our next "Festival" is in 2013 and we look forward to being as equally successful on this occasion.
